●不可能的任務轉戰平台，遊戲再出擊

以「不可能的任務」同名電影改編的遊戲，在ps2上已非新鮮事。但是，本作是以96年與00年由湯姆克魯斯（tomcruise）主演的同名電影所改編的，並竭力保留電影原味製作。嚮往克魯斯在電影中易容千變的本事嗎？崇拜他在電影中飛簷走壁的本領嗎？本作將讓玩家不再只是嚮往崇拜，更可以親身體驗他在戲中所體驗的特務生活喔！

●imf的超級探員再次出擊

「早安，hunt。你這次的任務是從神秘組織－〝operation•surma〞的手中奪回製作〝iceworm〞的原料－〝microchip〞；同時擊潰該組織支配世界的計畫。這個訊息將會在5秒鐘後自動銷毀…」。本作為接續在電影第二集之後，ethan hunt再次被上級交付艱鉅的任務。

operation•surma一個神秘又極具野心的世界性組織，他們研發出了一種最新的神秘武器：〝high-techitem〞，而〝iceworm〞則是唯一可以破壞此一神祕武器的手段；由玩家扮演的ethanhunt則必須負起此一拯救世界的重責大任，imf研究員發明的各種裝備與ethanhunt最拿手的易容術，則是協助玩家們完成任務的point，如何善用道具與適時適地的變裝易容，絕對是玩家首要學會的重點。

●完整重現冒險的真實感

偵查動作：在本作中，玩家扮演的正是imf的超級探員ethanhunt，而玩家們將率領著全體imf的成員，一一過關斬將，擬真的各種潛入、調查等等動作，讓玩家們猶如置身在「不可能的任務」的緊張世界中。當然，解決任務的方式也可能不止一種，要如何以最有效的方式解決任務，玩家們可得多多嚐試不一樣的手段喔！scanner與耳內通訊機以及「不可能的任務」特色之ㄧ的〝變裝〞等等，讓玩家體驗各種imf的活動。

一個成功的諜報探員，要深入虎穴難免會遇到難纏的敵人，這時精湛的格鬥技就越顯重要；冷靜、迅速、準確的致命一擊，敵人想不應聲而倒都很困難。在本作中，玩家冒險的舞台將橫跨中東、羅馬及東歐等等，在進行遊戲的同時，也讓玩家們一覽中東與歐洲的湖光山色
